How We Source Pricing and Provider Information

Pricing and Provider Data

Pricing and product information published on ComparedBusiness UK is sourced directly from provider websites and publicly available rate cards at the time of writing or last review. Where pricing structures are complex or not fully disclosed online, we cross-reference multiple sources, including competitor comparison platforms, provider websites, and industry rate guides. We reach out to providers for detailed information if necessary.

We do not present estimated or modelled pricing as confirmed rates. Where exact pricing requires a direct quote from a provider, depending upon the business’s requirements, we say so clearly and direct readers to request one.

Provider Selection

Providers featured in our comparison guides and listings are selected based on the following criteria:

  1. UK availability: The provider must offer services to UK businesses directly.
  2. Verifiable business legitimacy: We check that providers are registered and trading, with publicly accessible contact and company information.
  3. Relevance to the comparison: Providers must operate in the specific vertical being compared.
  4. FCA registration (financial products): For verticals including Invoice Finance, Merchant Cash Advance, and Payment Gateways, we check publicly available FCA records or provider disclosures where possible.

Being featured in a comparison does not require providers to pay for inclusion. The comparison may include both commercial providers we work with and non-commercial providers.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial rankings, verdicts, and recommendations are produced independently of our commercial relationships. A provider paying for referrals does not receive a higher editorial score, a better position in an organic comparison, or favourable treatment in our research.

How We Update Our Content

  4. Updating changes: If a provider we feature significantly changes its pricing, terms, or availability, we update the relevant pages as soon as we are made aware.
